A 10-yard includes 1 ton, and a ton is less material than it sounds once the load is dense. Furniture, boxes, carpet and general clutter will not get near it. Tile, plaster, soil, brick and roofing shingles will get there while the container still looks half used.
That is the whole decision on this size. If the load is bulky and light, the 10-yard is the cheapest correct answer. How much weight does it include?
1 ton. That is the number to pay attention to on this size — it is the least allowance we offer and it is genuinely easy to pass with the wrong material. Over it, weight bills at $0.13 per pound.
Can I load it without a door?
Usually, and that is the quiet advantage of this size. The walls are 3 feet, low enough to lift most things in over the side rather than walking them through the back door. The door is there if you want it.
Is it worth going up to the 15?
If the load is heavy, almost always. The step up is $104 and buys another half ton of allowance — which is less than you would pay in overage for passing the 10-yard's limit by a few hundred pounds.
