Interior Demolition & Gut-Outs
Interior demo is the opposite problem from a tear-down: the building has to survive, and every piece of debris leaves through a door someone still uses. The work is slower per square foot than exterior demolition and the protection matters more than the demolition does.
Everything you get with our interior demolition.
- Back to studs and subfloor, or a partial strip you define
- Dust barriers and floor protection on the exit route
- Load-bearing walls and stacks identified before work starts
- Debris out the same day, not stockpiled in a room
- Broom-clean handover for the next trade
Items & projects we handle
What you're actually taking down
Finishes over a structure that stays: drywall or plaster and lath on studs, flooring over subfloor, cabinetry, tile, fixtures and trim. Load-bearing walls, plumbing stacks and electrical runs are inside that finish envelope, which is why the strip stops where the structure starts.
How it comes apart
- 1Walk the space and mark what stays — load-bearing walls, stacks and anything feeding a room that is not part of the job
- 2Water and power isolated to the work area only, so the rest of the house keeps running
- 3Floor and stair protection and a dust barrier at the boundary before anything is opened up
- 4Fixtures, cabinetry and flooring out first, then wall and ceiling finishes back to stud and joist
- 5Debris carried out and loaded the same day rather than piled in a room
- 6Space swept broom-clean and handed over ready for the trades
Where the debris goes
Drywall, plaster and lath, trim, cabinetry, carpet and underlayment. Landfill-bound.
Piping, ductwork, cast iron and steel tubs and sinks, separated for scrap.
Appliances, air conditioners and any electronics pulled from the space follow their own required disposal path, not the debris pile.
Access we need
A route from the work area to the truck that we can protect — stairs, hallways and doorways all get covered. Upper-floor and walk-up jobs take longer because everything is carried, and we say so in the quote instead of discovering it on day two.
Interior Demolition starts at $1,000, and every job is quoted on site. See how our pricing works.
Licensed, Insured, and Local
We carry full liability and workers' comp coverage on every job. COI available on request for property managers and GCs. Based in Tyngsborough — your job is handled by the same crew that's been doing this work all year.
