Roll away or roll off — same container, same price
If you have asked for a roll away dumpster, that is the same thing we call a roll off: a wheeled open-top container that rolls off the back of the truck onto your driveway and rolls back on when it is full. Whichever word you use, it is the same three sizes and the same flat rate, delivered across Groton and the rest of the Nashoba Valley.
Not renting a container at all? Groton junk removal — point and we carry.

Getting in
Vehicle sticker AND town orange trash bags are required to dispose of trash. Recycling access requires a recycling sticker, which is free and required of residents and non-residents alike; the non-recycling area is Groton residents only, with a paid transfer station sticker.
Recycling is free for residents. Yard waste — leaves, pine needles and grass clippings — is free. Mercury items including fluorescent bulbs, thermostats, thermometers and button cells are collected at no cost. Phone 978-732-1900. The station is at 600 Cow Pond Brook Road, Groton, MA 01450.
We are not publishing a sticker price for Groton
A paid vehicle sticker is required, and we found figures only in a bylaw chapter that may predate the current schedule. Rather than print a number that might be wrong, here is where the live one lives: Transfer station pricing schedule.
Groton's station serves more than Groton
Westford has no facility of its own, and its residents register here for recycling access only — not for trash, and not for the fee items above. Which is worth knowing from this side too: a recycling sticker is free and open to non-residents, and the paid sticker that reaches everything else is not.
Groton publishes all of this itself and its pages govern; treat this summary as a pointer rather than as the schedule.
